Russell has a gift for rhythms that gives him a rare versatility with different music types and styles. In his world travels he
has taken the opportunity to study the drumming styles and techniques of cultures on every continent. He brings the
rich fullness of this experience to his performances. He is particularly appreciated for his sensitivity to balance and
blending with other players as well as his intuitive sense for dynamics and creative, tasty fills.
As a recording artist he is easy to work with and is appreciated for his flawless execution and intuitive comprehension of
exactly what is needed for each session. A testimony to his talents in this arena is the many artists who have used him
on their recording projects.
He has been both a Vic Firth and a Sabian endorsee and was featured as the "Drummer to Look Out For", in Sabian
Magazine.
Currently available for gigs, recording and advanced lessons
